Scope of Adapted Content
The following documentation guides contain content adapted from OpenRV's user manual and reference manual chapters. All adapted material has been substantially rewritten to reflect OpenRV Web's browser-based, WebGL2-driven architecture:
| Guide | Source Chapter |
|---|---|
| Rendering Pipeline | Chapter 7: Color Management |
| LUT System | Chapter 8: LUTs |
| CDL Color Correction | Chapter 9: CDL |
| OCIO Color Management | Chapter 11: OCIO |
Content not listed above is original work created for OpenRV Web.
License Compatibility Note
OpenRV Web's source code is released under the MIT License.
The adapted documentation carries Apache License 2.0 attribution as required by the Apache License, Version 2.0, Section 4. This is fully compatible with the MIT License under which the rest of this project is distributed:
- The Apache License 2.0 permits derivative works under a different license, provided that the original copyright notice and attribution are preserved.
- All adapted documentation includes an attribution header linking back to the original OpenRV source material.
- Original (non-adapted) documentation and all source code remain under the MIT License.
This dual-license arrangement is a common and well-established practice in open source projects. No additional obligations are imposed on users of OpenRV Web beyond preserving the attribution headers in adapted documentation files.
